Rec Center adds new exercise and recreation equipment

At 81, Anne Hunter knows the importance of physical fitness.That’s why she is an avid patron of the Farmerville Recreation Center, coming several times a week to utilize the new gym equipment now available at the facility.
Adding to a year of change for the Rec Center, under the direction of Jimmy Zachery, the site recently created a new weight room with all new equipment as well as a game room and a women’s workout room.
“Our overall goal has been to try to offer something for everybody,” Zachery said. “It’s been a group effort between the Town, the mayor, Joe Jones and the other council members to get to where we are and we are looking to just continue to keep moving forward.”
Mayor M. Stein Baughman, Jr. said the site is something for residents to view as a source of pride.
