Some Union Parish residents are still trying to absorb the shock of the tragic death of Vergie Page, a 76-year-old Farmerville native who was allegedly shot in the chest by her companion, Carl Eldred Davis of Ruston on April 17.The loss of Page is, according to long-time friend Tim Tettleton, a loss to the entire community.
