Island development raises concerns

Local land developers are seeking a permit from the Army Corp of Engineers to construct the proposed “D’Arbonne Island Subdivision” on two islands located on the south side of the Mixing Hole on Lake D’Arbonne.
However the Bayou D’Arbonne Lake Watershed District expressed concern over the proposal at its monthly meeting Monday night at the Courthouse Annex.
