LDWF opposes island project

Despite opposition from the Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries, local land developer Jim Farley is committed to a residential project on two Lake D’Arbonne Islands.
Farley describes his Maricopa Island project as “the biggest development to ever hit Union Parish.”

Farley plans to build a subdivision on two islands located on the south side of the Mixing Hole on Lake D’Arbonne.
