Union Parish officially declared a state of emergency early Tuesday preparation for Hurricane Isaac.Union Parish Director of homeland security Brian Halley said that he and Union Parish Sheriff Bob Buckley suggested this to Union Parish Police Jury president A.J. Smith and a letter was sent to the governor Monday.
