‘Wife beater’ arrested

A Union Parish man who told deputies he is a “wife beater” has been released from the parish detention center on a $3,500 bond.
James A. Pardue, 45, of 362 Woodyard Rd., Farmerville, was arrested by deputies Monday and booked with simple battery domestic.
