Grant helps UGH provide awareness of pending problems with diabetes
Food served at last week’s Union Chamber of Commerce luncheon, hosted by Claiborne Electric, was typical of what the vast majority of Americans consume each day – pork, potatoes, green beans and cake. Statistics indicate that one in four of those attending the luncheon are at risk of developing diabetes by eating carbohydrates their bodies cannot properly process.
