Body found floating in D'Arbonne
Area near where robbery suspect vehicle found
A body found earlier today in Lake D’Arbonne is being sent for an autopsy to determine the identity and cause of death.
Union Parish Sheriff Dusty Gates said a call was received around 2:30 p.m. on Monday from two fishermen who spotted the body floating in the lake.
“They found the body of what we believe to be a white male in an area near the Easy Living community,” Gates said. “There was no form of identification on the body.”
Gates said the body had apparently been in the water for some time.
Last week, Farmerville Police Chief Bim Coulbertson said a vehicle belonging to the a suspect in the March 14 break in at Northside Pharmacy was found in the Easy Living Lane area.
Officers with the Farmerville Police Department and Union Parish Sheriff’s Office attempted to locate 34-year-old David Colter Gray of Ruston after an officer responding to an alarm call allegedly discovered Gray outside the pharmacy. As the officer made his way back to his vehicle, Gray left the scene. His vehicle was later discovered on Easy Living Lane, which runs parallel to the lake shore off Cox Ferry Road.
