‘Krappie Kings’ look to lure more to D’Arbonne

If Karl Kalonka has his way, local residents fishing on Lake D’Arbonne may soon have lots of company.
Kalonka, host of the television show “Krappie Kings,” was in Union Parish last week, filming an upcoming episode of his show.
“We’ve been very impressed, not just with the fishing on D’Arbonne,” Kalonka said, putting the emphasis on the second syllable of the name. “We’ve been equally impressed with the people, the culture and the countryside.”
