For the fifth consecutive year, the town of Farmerville was the statewide winner in its category in the Cleaneast City Contest, sponsored by the Louisiana Garden Club Federation. Awarding the plaque to Mayor Stein Baughman Jr. is Jean Gilstrap of Marion, chairman of the Cleanest City Contest. Pictured to the left of Baughman is Yvette Hebert, incoming president of the federation.
