New software creates customer confusion

A program that will ultimately better serve readers of The Gazette may initially be creating a bit of confusion.
Almost two months ago, the newspaper began using new computer software for subscriptions. One of the features of the new software is the way it processes subscription renewals.
Rather than the traditional post card sized renewal notices that subscribers have received for years, the new software generates letters that are placed in envelopes and sent to subscribers well in advance of the renewal date.
