Nine polling places closed

With qualifying for the Nov. 4 primary elections open through Friday, voters in Union Parish will soon know who is running for what position.
For voters in nine precincts, they will also have to learn where they’ll go to cast their ballots.
The Union Parish Police Jury adopted a resolution at its August meeting to comply with a state law that requires parish governing authorities to eliminate polling places that serve less than 300 voters.
