Many Louisianians don’t know it exists.
“It” is the Code for Judicial Conduct. Administered through the Louisiana Supreme Court, the code quite clearly outlines how judges should conduct themselves, both in the courtroom and away from it.
There is even a section set aside for those seeking election to the judiciary, which specifically states what they may and may not say on the campaign trail.
