Lois Martindale (09-10-2008)
Funeral services for Lois Martindale, 91, of  Monroe were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Laran. Rev. Jason Thompson and Rev. Richard Methvin officiated. Burial was at Canaan Cemetery in Lockhart under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.
Mrs. Martindale, a homemaker, died September 6.  She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Minor Martindale, son, Donnie Jo Martindale and daughter, Frances Gail Martindale
Survivors include son,  Jerrell Martindale and wife, Sue of Santa Fe, Tex.; daughter, Carolyn Thomas, of Monroe; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Ramsey, Keith Ramsey, DeWayne Ramsey, Bill Cranford, Sean Jester and Brian Jester.
Visitation was held Monday at Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.
