Willis Winford Ellis (11-25-2009)
Willis Winford Ellis, of Kemp, passed away on Nov. 14 at the age of 77. He was born in Marion to Willie Wilburn and Amanda Louise (Day) Ellis on Oct. 2, 1932.
He leaves behind his beloved wife: May Kerby; loving children: Sarah Ann Killingsworth of Irving, Edward Lamar Ellis and wife Elizabeth of Arlington, Tommy Kerby of Lewisville, Roger Kerby of Desoto, Larry Kerby of Red Oak, Linda Kerby of Gun Barrel City; brothers: David Lavelle Ellis, Preston Dale Ellis, Willie Leroy Ellis, Harvey Ray Ellis and wife Aiola, and Bill Tom Ellis and wife Beverly; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, plus a host of family and friends.
The family received friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Nov. 18. A funeral was held at Anderson-Clayton Brothers Chapel in Kemp, Texas on Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jess Rogers officiating. Interment followed at King Cemetery.
