Sara Nix (12-30-2009)
Graveside services for Sara Adams Nix, 78, of Farmerville were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Smackover Memorial Park Cemetery in Smackover, Ark. with Bro. Truett West and Bro. George Welch officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.
Nix, a homemaker, died Dec. 24.
She was former secretary of Expressway Baptist Church in Gretna for many years, owner of a ceramic shop in Farmerville for 15 years, a faithful member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church and worked as a volunteer for the Union Parish Council on Aging.
In her spare time, she sold Beauty Counselor make-up and Bee Line Clothing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Hulon Nix; a sister, Alma Gunter Aulds and a brother, Wayne Adams.
Survivors are her two sons: Lorn Dale Nix and his wife, Carolyn of Farmerville and Terry Dan Nix of Farmerville; two daughters: Linda Beth Nix Albritton and husband, Buddy of Farmerville and Cynthia Renee’ Nix Myers and husband, Richard of Waynesboro, Pa.; three grandchildren: Terry Dan Nix, Jr and wife, Nadine and their daughter, Kimber of Hinton Alberta, Canada, Casey Ryan Myers and Jennifer Michelle Myers of Waynesboro, Pa.; three brothers: Russell Adams and wife, Marie of Farmerville, Samuel Dempsey Adams and wife, Anita of Farmerville and Lane Adams and wife, Carol of Commerce, Ga.
Pallbearers were Wesley Gunter, Wade Gunter, William Gunter, Buddy Albritton, Winfred Gunter and Steve Adams.
Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Farrar Funeral Home.
