Richard “Doc” Mills (01-13-2010)
Photo of Richard “Doc” MillsRichard James Mills, born Oct. 5 1944, in East Orange, N.J. went on to be with his heavenly Father Jan. 3, after a brief battle with lung cancer.
A small service was held at Farrar Funeral Home with Bro. Forrest Post from Camp Creek Baptist Church officiating. Mr. Mills’ wishes were to be cremated.
Mills lived in Spearsville, since May 2002. He worked for Pilgrim Pride for seven years.
He is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Arlene Mills.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years Judy Phillips Mills; sons-Matt Mills and wife Alicia; Jimmy Hendrix and wife Melissa; Brett Hendrix and wife Sara; Daughters-Beth Faulk and husband Larry; Stacy Brown and husband Steve; Lauren Jacobs and husband Michael; Grandsons-Will Mills, Devan Hendrix and Paul David Jacobs; Granddaughters-Ashlyn Hendrix, Bella Mills, Maddie Mills, and Allie Jacobs; Sisters-Doris Couldron and husband Denny, Catherine Michels and husband Al, Judith Sihad and husband John, brothers-in-law, (goodest bestest), Steve Phillips, and partner Lisa, and Joey Phillips, sisters-in-law, Jackie Hamilton, and Francine Phillips; Mother-in-law-Joy Dell Tabor and a very special niece and nephew, Amy and Mikey Hamilton, and many, many more nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.
He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
He loved Alabama football and would want to say a final Roll Tide.
