Photo of Thomas K. “Kamake” Kaheiki, IIIFuneral services for Thomas K. “Kamake” Kaheiki, III, 34 years old, of Conway, LA will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 2:00pm at Conway Baptist Church, Conway, LA with Dr. Daniel Hall and Bro. Matt Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Conway Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Thomas K. Kaheiki, Jr.
Survivors include the loves of his life, his wife of 11 years, April Simpson Kaheiki and his 3 week old daughter Callie Marie. In-laws, Kenny and Kathy Simpson of Conway, LA; Shawn and Vannette Simpson and nieces, Julia and Anna Simpson of Sterlington, LA. Grandmothers-in-law: Dorothy Tubbs of Conway, LA and Amy Simpson of Farmerville, LA. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Thomas was born on March 26, 1975 in Hilo, Hawaii. Our Heavenly Father called him home on Saturday, February 20, 2010. He was a 1992 graduate of Farmerville High School and attended Northeast Louisiana University where he played in the band at both schools. He was an ordained minister and a member of Conway Baptist Church.
Thomas was a gifted musician, he loved to play the organ, piano and lead the choir. Thomas was currently employed with AMR Ambulance Service of Monroe, LA and an Assistant Fire Chief with the North Union Fire District. Thomas never met a stranger. He was known and loved by many. He dedicated his life to service to his church, his family and his community.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Simpson, Brad Rowell, Jay Johnston, Burt Green. P. J. Lewis and Dub LaGrone.
Honorary pallbearers are the members of the North Union Fire District.
