Valerie Kay Rowell Fradella (04-22-2010)
Photo of Valerie Kay Rowell FradellaServices for Valerie Kay Rowell Fradella, 32, of Plain Dealing, LA, were held on Thursday, April 15, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. at Conway Baptist Church in the Conway Community near Farmerville with Reverends Sam and Sammy Moses officiating. Burial followed in the Conway Cemetery in Conway under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville.
Valerie was born August 7, 1977, in Monroe, LA. A graduate of Farmerville High School, Valerie attended Louisiana Tech. From her childhood, Valerie had a special passion for animals, especially horses. She enjoyed high school rodeo where she competed and won many events. In her adulthood, she continued to ride and participate throughout the South in horse shows.
Valerie was a wonderful daughter, mother, and wife who loved her family, especially her twin boys—Gabe and Garrett. She loved being with the boys for not only those special moments in their lives, but for the everyday activities on the farm with them and her husband, Casey.
Valerie fought the hard fight with lung cancer for two years, always believing that God would heal her. He gave her the ultimate healing on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at Willis-Knighten Pierrmont in Shreveport where God released her body from its pain and carried her to an eternal home with Him.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Dewitt and Pauline Daniels and her father-in- law, Frank T. FradeIla and Buda her dog.
Survivors include her husband, Casey Fradella and sons, Gabriel Jim and Garrett Lane Fradella, of Plain Dealing, LA; parents, Jimmy and Sharon Rowell of Conway, LA; sister, Dana and husband Cory Woody of Conway, LA; grandmother, Carline Rowell of Farmerville, LA; mother-in-law, Sally Fradella of Gretna, LA; sisters-in-law, Lisa Fradella of Madisonville, LA, and Sand Fradella of Harvey, LA; brothers-in-law, Frank P. Fradella of Gretna, LA, and Rory and wife Cassie Fradella of Denham Springs, LA; niece, Dara Woody, and nephews, Jacob and Jimmy Woody of Conway, LA; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her horse “Caddie” and her dog “Cat.”
Pallbearers were Sonny Bickham, Greg Bickham, Obbie Harnmiter, Les Titus, Steve Cagle, Thomas Savage, Jay Johnston, and Joe Booth. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Williams, Seth Terral, Jared Williams, Brad Rowell, Jacob Woody, and Jimmy Woody.
The family expresses appreciation to the many family and friends who have cared so diligently for Valerie throughout her illness. Valerie loved life and loved honoring God with the victory He had in her life.
Visitation were held at Kilpatrick’s Funeral Home in Farmerville on Wednesday, April 14, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
