Nelson Reppond (05-26-2010)
Funeral services for Nelson Reppond, 90 of Linville, LA, were held Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Liberty Baptist church in Linville. Rev. Danny McLlveene and Rev. Paul King officiated. Burial followed at Liberty Cemetery in Linville under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA. Mr. Reppond was born on May 13, 1920 and passed away on May 23, 2010.He was retired from Southern National Gas Co. after 34 years of service. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Treasurer, Sunday school Teacher, Southern Baptist Association Delegate during 50 years of service. Also served at Crossroads and Dean Baptist Church and was a veteran of WWII and served in the U.S. Army. He is preceded in death by his parents John Perry Reppond and Katie Reppond, first wife Irea Reppond, sisters Betty Drennan, Christine Kelly, and brother, Dewey Reppond.
He is survived by his wife Olga Lee Reppond; daughter, Karen Camp and husband Ray; son, David Reppond and wife Elaine; step-daughter, Marcia Harrell and husband Gary; Monica Craig and husband Mitch; grandchildren, Kim Sims, Kelly Weatherford and husband Ruben; Chris Reppond and wife Patrice; Kevin Reppond and wife Tyra; step- grandchildren Bridgette Fulton and husband Trey; Jeremey Harrell and wife Shelly; Tyler Craig and Kirsty Craig; eleven great grandchildren, sister Fannie Oliver; Nelda Smothers; brothers, Bobby Reppond, Gulley Reppond, numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Pete Reynolds, Danny Reppond, Ben Heidenreich, Mark Miller, Spud Kennedy, Jimmy Reynolds, Buster Maxey, and Pete Kleinpeter.
Memorials may be made to Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
Visitation was Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Liberty Baptist Church in Linville.
