|Doss, Hurst exchange vows|
Brandy Lorraine Doss and Justin Lane Hurst exchanged marriage vows on Sept. 15 at the First Baptist Church in Bernice with Rev. Jeff Hurst, father of the groom officiating.
Parents of the couple are Kenny and Laurie Doss of Bernice and Jeff and Mary Hurst of Farmerville. The bride is the granddaughter of Doris Doss and the late Delton Doss of Bernice and Mary Alvis and the late Len Alvis of Downsville. The groom is the grandson of Linda Skinner and the late Lynn Skinner of Bernice and Billie and Larry Hurst also of Bernice.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown which featured a sequined strapless bodice with a band of chrystal beads around the waist. A a-line skirt featured satin with overlays of tulle with drops of sequins with a chapel length train. Her veil had beaded edging with chrystal droplets. The bride carried a green and white bouquet of callie lillies, with a mixture of orchids.
Journey Adkins, niece of the bride served as flower girl and was escorted by her father Johs. Jordan Adkins, sister-in-law of the bride served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Chastin Dendy, Lindy Lee and Brittany Burns Brice.
Tyler Hurst served as best man. Groomsmen were Daniel Laird, Kendal Keith and Dusty Singleton. Josh Adkins and Tommy Durrett served as ushers. Lauren Alvis, cousin of the bride sat at the book. Mucis was coordinated by Eric Dendy.
The reception followed in the fellowship hall. Servers were Mary Hurst and Debra Moring, aunts of the groom. After a short honeymoon, the couple will make their home in Bernice.
