The D’Arbonne Chapter of the DAR met March 14, at United Methodist Church in Farmerville. LSDAR State Regent Charlotte White was the guest speaker. She presented a program on the Badin-Roque House in Natchez, LA. It was built in the 1830s, and is a Poteaux-en-terre (post in ground) French Creole cottage with bousillage (a mixture of mud, Spanish moss, and deer hair) constructed walls. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 6, 1982.
