Confrontation leads to shots fired at Farmerville business

Sunday, at approximately 12:52 p.m., deputies with the Union Parish Sheriff ’s Office responded to the 7000 Block of Highway 15 North in reference to a disturbance.

The victim stated that he was at his brother’s place of business when two unidentified white males pulled into the parking lot and blocked him in with their Gray Dodge Charger (California plates), demanding that he leave the area. The victim backed his truck up in an attempt to leave the property and made contact with the suspect vehicle.

The two suspects got out of their vehicle and fired multiple gunshots at the victim’s vehicle, which caused damage to the tires of the victim’s vehicle. The suspects then fled the scene.

Suspects were later identified as Tommy Simpkins (W/M DOB: 3/8/1999), and Andrew Iniguez, (W/M DOB: 7/4/1998), both from California. The suspects were stopped in Minden and detained by Lousiana State Police.

Both suspects were charged with Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property. The suspect vehicle was transported to UPSO for processing by CID where the following items were found in the vehicle: Five firearms, 968 rounds of .45 caliber ammo, 284 rounds of 9mm ammo, and 273 rounds of 5.56 ammo.
