Romans 12:15 “Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.”

Every day we can choose to let go of what’s behind us. When we let go, we give God a clean slate to do His mighty work in our lives. Start each day by giving it to God. Don’t bring yesterday’s worries into tomorrow’s God given new day. Start each morning with pray and Scripture readings. Give your life over to God, to God’s plan for you - not to mans’ plans.

We can only change one day at a time. Each day is a gift, and we miss it when we allow our minds to dwell on all the unknowns. We can trust God with our future. Us trying to control the future is like trying to control the wind. Contentment in today will prevent our eyes from wandering off to tomorrow. “Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.” Matthew 6:34

1 Peter 5:7 tells us to “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” If you’ve been worried, feeling at loose ends and maybe a little hopeless - fear not – “for this son of mine was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’ And they began to celebrate.” Luke 15:24

God waits for us just like the Prodigal’s father did. Seek out God. Come home to Him. He will celebrate your homecoming and bring you the peace of mind you may be craving.

First Baptist Farmerville

First Baptist Church Farmerville welcomes you! We offer two worship services every Sunday morning at 400 North Main. The 9 AM service is suitable for senior adults and higher-risk attendees, and masks are required throughout this service. At the 11 AM service, a mask is required upon entering and exiting the building and while moving around the sanctuary.

America is in a dark place. There is open celebration of sin. There is a division of hate that is being wedged even deeper based on politics, race, gender and so-called personal freedoms and rights. There is a shift from the ideals of democracy that this country was founded upon and a denial of absolute truth. We are witnessing what happens when God is set aside and worldly pleasures rise in prominence. Our country needs revival and a touch from God in a major way.

In an effort to reverse our country’s fallen spiritual state, there’s a lot of talk about “Praying for America.” In fact, we have a sign in front of our church that encourages that very thing. We pray, “God save America”, “God have mercy on America”, “God bless America”!

But according to Psalms 80:4, it is possible for God to be angry against the prayers of His people. God sees us as we are. There’s no fooling almighty God.

We pray for God to work, and our expectation is that He work “out there” in the world. Maybe it’s time we pray for God to work in us. If we want change in our country, it must start with change in our individual hearts, turning away from our sins, turning back to God. Then, with a pure heart, we can expect that the God of hosts will restore us and cause His face to shine upon us again.

As we say each week, you may come to church, but if you have never trusted Jesus as your Savior, you are not a part of the Church. Today you can be. It’s as simple as ABC.

ADMIT you are a sinner.

BELIEVE Jesus gave His life to pay for your sin.

CONFESS Him as your Lord today.

Come worship and love and learn with us! Kurt Auger, Pastor; Frank Nihart, Music Pastor. Visit us at www. fbcfarmerville.com for up-to-date information, or our FBC Farmerville Facebook page, where Bro. Kurt broadcasts “live” every day at noon.

First Baptist Church — Marion

In the 60’s a magazine cover said “God Is Dead.” As the world spins in chaos some may wonder if that is true. At FBC Marion there is manifold evidence that God is alive,

Jesus lives and the Holy Spirit continues to work. Ask Michael Thomas, Dustin Andrews, Shep Towns or Sawyer Towns if Jesus still saves. Three great weeks of baptizing and watching God work in the midst of all Satan is trying to do shouts “God Is Not Dead.” Bro. Bubba preached today from II Samuel 10. David and his people were vastly outnumbered for battle. Surely they must have felt as Christians today do looking at what seemed to be a hopeless situation. They didn’t know whether they would be temporarily defeated or whether God would amazingly deliver them. Listen to what they said in II Samuel 10:12, “Be of good courage, and let us play the men for our people, and for the cities of our God; and the Lord do that which seemeth Him good.” Our purpose as Christians is to be courageous and live like warriors in the Army of God and leave the results to Him. Take heart fellow Christians, “He’s got the whole world in His hands.” Catch FBC Marion on our Facebook page, you tube or Bayou Cable.

PRAY FOR EACH OTHER, OUR CHURCH, OUR NATION, AND OUR LEADERS.

Haile Church of Christ

Reasoning from the truths given in Scripture, how does Christ’s Kingdom relate to His church or body? In the same context that Jesus promised to build His church, He told His apostles he would give them the keys to the Kingdom (Matthew 16:16-19). The Holy Spirit guided the apostles into all truth (John 16:13), and gave them the word of truth or the gospel (Colossians 1:5). The gospel calls one into the body or into the Kingdom (Colossians 3:15; 1 Thessalonians 2:12; 2 Thessalonians 2:14). The church was purchased with Christ’s blood (Acts 20:28) as was the Kingdom (Revelation 1:5-6; 5:9-10). First-century Christians were members of the church (1 Corinthians 12:27) or of the Kingdom (Revelation 1:9). The Kingdom is entered by water and the Spirit (John 3:3-5), and by one Spirit one is baptized into the one body or church (1 Corinthians 12:13). The gates of Hades will not prevail against Christ’s church (Matthew 16:18), and the Kingdom “cannot be shaken” (Hebrews 12:28). The Kingdom was prophesied to be established under the fourth worldly kingdom of King Nebuchadnezzar’s vision, which was the Roman empire (Daniel 2:44). Following the initial preaching of the gospel, the church was present, under Roman rule (Acts 5:11; 9:31, 12:1, etc.). Christ presently reigns over His Kingdom (1 Corinthians 15:23-25), and the church is subject to Christ (Ephesians 5:24). Christ’s Kingdom is not of this world (1 John 18:36), and a Christian’s citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20). Christ does not have two separate blood-purchased groups, the church and the Kingdom. Although Jesus presently reigns over the Kingdoms of the world, His called out, blood-bought Kingdom is His body the church. The church is the spiritual house comprised of those who have been born again through the word of God (1 Peter 1:23; 2:5), or have been transferred into the Kingdom of Christ (Colossians 1:13) by being “born again” (John 3:3-5).

Sunday Evening”

Wed. Bible Study

6:00pm

Wed. Bible Study, Oct. 28th, Bro. Dan’s message was from 2 John. (3) Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

Sunday School, Nov. 1st, Bro. Paul’s lesson was from John Chapter 8: 35-59.

(56) Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. (58)

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

Bro. Paul had a wonderful lesson this morning as he concluded Chapter 8 of John.

Worship Service, Nov. 1st, After opening songs and pray, Bro. Robert sang a beautiful song that was very uplifting for us all.

Bro. Dan began his message from Revelation Chapter 20:11-15. (12) And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (15) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Judgement begins in the house of the Lord. What God has given to us is “real”.

Bro. Dan continued his message from Ezekiel Chapter 16:49. Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

Bro. Dan ended his message from Proverbs Chapter 30: 14-16. (15) The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough: (16) The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough.

Times are closer to the end than the start.

Sunday Evening, Nov. 1st, Bro. Dan’s message was from Psalm Chapter 33:12-22.

(22) Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

We are in a time where the word of God is rare in the world. Today Christians are being persecuted and blamed for all the wrongs in the world. We live in a time when right is wrong, and wrong is right; but God’s word is always right.

LMBC would like to thank everyone that came and made our Trunk or Treat a huge success.

Ladies night will be Thursday, November 12th at 6pm. Please make plans to join us and invite a friend.

LMBC will have a Church wide Yard Sale on November 14th starting at 7am. Proceeds are going to our building fund.

Liberty Missionary Baptist Church – Spearsville

Liberty Church Road, Spearsville

Bro. Bill Styron, Pastor

We meet in the fellowship hall for our lesson from Acts 16 where we were reminded of the power of the gospel to change lives.

During worship time, Brothers Ricky, Jessee, Brandon sang “When We All Get to Heaven; Gus sang “Jesus is Right” and Bill sang “Lighthouse”.

Bro. Bill read from Matthew 27:17 “Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?” (“Por lo tanto, cuando se reunieron, Pilato les dijo: ¿A quién os liberaré? Barrabás, o Jesús que se llama Cristo?”)

Today is the Day of Decision. Barabbas represents satan and Jesus represents the kingdom of God. Jesus died a horrible death to give us the opportunity to life eternal with Him. Too many put other things before Jesus. They are waiting to decide which they will choose. Barabbas is temporary. Where will you be when Jesus comes? We don’t know when He will come. The question is: Do you know Jesus as your personal savior? Not if you have been baptized or if you are a member of a church. God wants us to do His will. There is no ministry of the pews. If you know Jesus, don’t just tell others about Him – show them. Now is the accepted time. Today is the day of salvation. Now is the time to live for Him.

Services are: SS at 10; worship time 11; evening study 5:30; Wednesday night Bible Study 6. We invite you to come grow in God’s Word and fellowship with us as we keep pressing on for Jesus. (Te invitamos a que vengas a crecer en la Palabra de Dios con nosotros.)

My Father’s House

My Father’s House Teach one to be one. Jesus was with the disciples for three years. He was with them 40 days before going to heaven. If you have read Acts 1 and 2 you would know this. The promise of God was given to Jesus and the promise was fulfilled. The Holy Spirit came upon the disciples and the preaching began. Jesus had made it clear that there would be false teachers. Jesus said also, the way is narrow that leads to life and few find it. T12B1 will make disciples of Jesus, disciples of Jesus get to know God. In Matthew 5 Jesus opened his mouth telling them about the kingdom of heaven. The faithful disciples will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. In Matthew 6, Jesus gave instructions on how to get something from God our father. The disciples learned from the teacher for God to forgive, one must forgive according to Jesus. Jesus taught the disciples about the eye. He told them about log and specks. He mentioned hypocrites. In verses 6 and 7 Jesus explains the law and the prophets. Jesus told them about trees and how to recognize them. Have you read his words beware of false prophets, they will come to you in sheep clothing. Don’t forget this. Join Joseph at My Father’s House at 4774 Highway 151 Downsville, La 71234. For more information call or text 318-620-9293.

Joshua 1 – Moses has passed on; Joshua, the new leader, directed by God, is preparing to lead the children into Canaan. After 400 years in bondage, this would fulfill God’s promise to His people. Canaan is a picture of victory: A land where the Jews would no longer be slaves (later Jesus came to release us from the bondage of sin); A land of refreshment (something more than manna for nourishment, but even now, the Lord refreshes us from the heartaches of life);

A land of release from this world (And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. – Revelation 22:3) and A land of rest – spiritual rest that only Jesus Christ can bring. Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest – Matthew 11:28.

Then you shall return to the land of your possession and enjoy it, which Moses the Lord’s servant gave you on this side of the Jordan toward the sunrise – Joshua 1:15. “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” – 1 Corinthians 2:9.

“There’s a Lighthouse on the hillside that overlooks life’s sea. When I’m tossed, it sends out a light that I might see. And the Light that shines in darkness now, will safely lead me o’er. If it wasn’t for the Lighthouse, my ship would be no more.”
