UPSB moving forward with candidates

The Union Parish School Board has five candidates to consider for superintendent to replace out-going Ted Reeves.

Board President Shannon Barkley said Tuesday the Board is trying to schedule an online meeting for Monday for public input on the hire. “We had quite a few requests to allow the public to give input letting us know what they expect and want in a superintendent,” Barkley said.

“We are moving forward with the process,” Barkley added. “We have five candidates, including two internal candidates.” The internal candidates are Dr. Robby Lindsay, Child Nutrition Supervisor and Transportation/Maintenance Supervisor, and Kristy Auger-Fine, Federal Programs Director.

The online meeting will take place at 6 p.m. Monday using the Zoom platform. Check the UPSD website at for more information.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board is set for 6 p.m., June 8, online.
