Mary Evelyn Brantley Washam was born on August 18, 1922, to Era Malone Brantley and L. Marvin Brantley and left this life to be with her Lord on July 12, 2020. She is survived by her daughter Jean Washam Hollis and her husband, Steve, of Ruston; one brother, H. Ronald (Ronnie) Brantley of Columbia, Louisiana; three granddaughters, Dr. Maridith Hollis, and husband, Adam Bell, of Mobile, Alabama; Lily Claire Washam-Wedding and her husband, Jason, of Haslet, Texas; and Kerry D. Harrell and her husband, Kevin, of Highland Village, Texas; two great grandchildren, Leah Evelyn Wedding and Hudson Reed Harrell; her sister-in-law Bobbie Jo B. Brantley of Farmerville; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends, including her very special friend, Mattie Gray Albritton Bird. She is pre-deceased by her parents; her husband, Arthur C. Washam; her daughter, R. Maxine Washam; her sister, Maxine Brantley Davis and husband Dan; her brothers O. G. (Boone) Brantley and wife, Sybil; and Kenneth L.(Pete) Brantley; her sister-in-law, Linda Brantley; loving nephew and niece, Jimmy Davis and Sonya Brantley; and very special friends, Blake H. Albritton and June Albritton Petterson.

Malcolm Fowler

Malcolm Fowler, 67, of Marion, Louisiana was born on November 20, 1952, and passed away at his home on Sunday, May 24, 2020. Malcolm was a graduate of Marion High School. He pursued a career in the offshore oil field. Malcolm was his own man who loved his dogs and his birds.

Mr. Kenneth Frith

It ended where it began. Kenneth Maxwell Frith, 80, passed away quietly on May 29, 2020, surrounded by his family in his home in Rocky Branch, less than a stone’s throw from where he was born. Over the years Ken or (Max) was a LSU graduate and fan of the Tigers, a chemical engineer with Dow and BASF, and a dedicated family man.

Funeral services for Mr. Phillip Wayne Baker 68, of Marion, La., will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2020, at the First Baptist Church in Marion, La. Officiating the service will be Rev. Bubba Hoggatt. Visitation will be held preceding the service beginning at 12:30 p.m. until time of service under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville.

Linda Kay Darnell

Linda Kay Darnell was born February 17, 1940, and went to her heavenly home on May 13, 2020. Linda Kay graduated from Farmerville High School in 1958 and Louisiana College in 1961. Linda Kay was Louisiana College Homecoming Queen and May Queen, and later she was the first Miss Farmerville. Mrs. Linda Kay retired from E.A. Conway Hospital as a medical librarian.

Graveside services for Patty Tucker Dumas, 83, of Farmerville were held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 18, 2020 at Crossroads Cemetery with Bro. Aleck Nyegaard officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Marion, La. - Funeral services for Shelton Fife, Jr., 43, of Marion were held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Dean Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville. Visitation was Friday, May 15, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. ~ 8:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel.

Huell Ham was born in Laran, Louisiana, to Hughey and Loduskee Black Ham on August 6, 1932, and passed away on May 11, 2020, in Houston, Texas. He is survived by his beloved wife of twenty four years Jean Scarborough Ham of Houston, Texas, daughter Lauren Ham Aldridge and her husband Craig of Midland, Texas; son Bill and his wife Tressie of Lafayette, Louisiana; and son Scott and his wife Sarah Louise of New Orleans, Louisiana; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and Jean’s daughter Kate Drury and her husband Matt; her daughter Kimberly Husted and her husband James; and her six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Floyd Ham.
