Funeral services for Winston Chance Alford, 35, of Truxno, La., were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Farmerville First Assembly of God with Bro. Robbie Lawson and Terry Cole officiating. Interment followed in Perkins-Alford Cemetery, in Truxno, La., under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.
Chance, a welder and heavy machinery operator, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020. Chance was a good man, a great friend, and an excellent father. He was very patient and loved spending time with his children, other people’s children and teens in the area. He had a big heart and has helped many people in his life. If you knew him, you know that he was a natural entertainer and was easy going.
Mr. Alford was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Connie Ray Alford; maternal grandparents, Dorothy Mae Skains Richardson and Orain Houston Long; sister-in-law, Lacey Sharp; and grandmother-in-law, Edna Rogers.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, James Ray “Jamie” Alford & Rebecca Sue Long Alford; children, Adrienne Elizabeth Alford, Hannah Klaire Alford, Grayson Walker Alford, Ryleigh Jean Alford and Kayden Lane Alford; brothers, Caleb Tyler Alford (Brandi) and Zachary Holt Alford (Caroline Elizabeth); paternal grandmother, Patsy Ruth Alford; special Aunt, Shawn Alford; little sister, Kelsey Rae Cardneaux; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, kins and friends.
Pallbearers were Kane Auger, Matt Sharp, Cody Tucker, James Morgan, Yancy Hilburn and Augustine Martinez.
Visitation was from 5:00 p.m. ~ 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Farmerville First Assembly of God.
